·         Raytheon Warfighter Protection Center, Huntsville, Alabama, USA

In cooperation with Fuqua & Partners architects, I was Project Manager and Lead Designer for this complex located in Cummings Research Park. I provided site design and construction administration for the new Raytheon Warfighter Protection Center located in Huntsville, Alabama’s Cummings Research Park. This project was also pursuing the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED certification. Since its completion, the project has been awarded the prestigious LEED Silver Certification by the non-profit U.S. Green Building Council. In order to obtain the Silver certification, the Raytheon facility had to earn points using the council’s stringent criteria, which included reducing operating costs, providing a healthier and more productive environment for occupants, and conserving natural resources. This project become the first official “green facility” in the state of Alabama under the newer, more stringent standards set by the LEED program.

·         The Meres, a Planned Residential Community, Athens, Alabama, USA

Civil Design Engineer for a 122 Acre mixed use development. Over 1.2 Million Cubic Yards of Earthwork to include site Masterplanning, site grading and drainage, storm system and detention design and analysis, utility infrastructure, drainage report and design. This project included six lakes, over five-miles of streets. The design, governed by existing ponds and mature tree stands, offered residents a variety of economic and residential housing choices, as well as, a village center, community center and civic area. The entire community is linked through an extensive pedestrian network of parks and open spaces. (Total cost of construction $6.5 million dollars)

 

·         Shadow Brook Subdivision Phase Two and Three, Huntsville, Alabama, USA

Civil Design Engineer for a 76.50 acre Residential Subdivision for Woodland Homes Development. 128 Lot development to include site layout, site grading and drainage, 7,781 linear feet of streets, storm system and storm water detention design and analysis, utility infrastructure, drainage report and design. This Subdivision incorporated the use of an “Onsite “, 70,000 Gallons per Day (GPD),” Recirculating Sandfilter Treatment Facilty” and associated Shallow Placement Underground Injection System replacing the traditional Individual Septic Tank System. Performed all hydraulic calculation for closed pumping system. (Total cost of construction $6.5 million dollars)             

 

·         Indian Creek P.B. Church, Huntsville, Alabama, USA

Multi-Storied 50,000 Square Feet Concrete Slab Church FacilityCivil Design Engineer for project that sat on 6.0 acre site. Design includes site layout, site grading and drainage, storm system and detention design and analysis, utility infrastructure, drainage report and design of 2000 Gallon per Day Onsite Treatment Plant.
